The Mad Donkey presents: Steve & Steve, Friday, February 16. Bring your Valentine and celebrate in style with great music, art and coffee. Steve & Steve – individually a/k/a Steve Bernstein and Steve Messinger – are two fiftysomething guys, both originally from North Jersey, who first began making music together in 1969, while students at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Both acoustic electric guitarists with a passion for two-part vocal harmonies, Steve & Steve perform a wide range of ‘60s tunes, from The Beatles to the Everly Brothers, from Simon & Garfunkel to The Turtles, from Ricky Nelson to James Taylor, and everything in between. Steve & Steve have performed as the opening act for the legendary ‘60s British Invasion duo, Chad & Jeremy as well as James Taylor’s sister, folk artist, Kate Taylor.
Our featured visual artist for the evening is photographer, Christy Shey. As always, there is no charge for admission, though a $5 suggested donation is requested to help cover our costs. Doors open at 7:15pm until 10:30pm or so. There is plenty of FREE gourmet coffee, donated by the Willow Grove Starbucks, and home-baked goodies for your enjoyment. If you have any questions or need directions, just send us an email.
